Best Rugby Experience

USA camp has been my most educational and rewarding week I’ve had in rugby. It taught me many new skills but as well as brought me to meet so many new people. Meeting Coach Sue and learning some new technical skill work with her is something I will take with me through my rugby journey with me.

Values

Play hard but not hurtful. You always meet and try to befriend the other team so learning the balance between playing focused and playing rudely is a big difference.

Mentors

My mom and dad have been there for me since day one and will always help lead me to the right direction, Charli Jacoby is who showed me how if you can become dedicated and put in the work there will be an outcome no matter what and she sent encouraging words to me throughout my years in rugby, and Coach Collins is my club coach and has taught me everything to know about rugby he was there for my first practice to teach me how to throw the ball to the day I talked to him about what college he think could be a good fit for me and rugby.

The Role Rugby has

Rugby is just my sport at the end of the day and understanding that has taught me even after a hard game or poor practice I don’t need to be down on my self because picking apart my mistakes wont be helpful to me or anyone. Learning and accepting the mistakes I made will only help me grow and that has taught me a new perspective that I can also use in other parts of my life.
